Overview:

Chobe District Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified Parakarungu residents only for the position of Temporary Cook tenable at Parakarungu Primary School. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and ensuring the kitchen operates to health and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Standard 7 Certificate

Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Omang card
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be physically and mentally fit
  • Must provide proof of residence (Stamped letter from Kgosi or Village Development Committee)

Main Purpose of the Job:

To provide daily cooking services at the school, ensuring the meals prepared meet nutritional and hygiene standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals according to the approved menu and recipes
  • Measure food quantities and plan daily meal preparation
  • Supervise and guide any subordinate kitchen staff
  • Monitor hygiene and food safety in the kitchen
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management
