Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Receiving Clerk to join the team at their Cape Road store in Gqeberha. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and efficient receiving, checking, and movement of stock in accordance with Dis-Chemโs operational procedures and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
-Accurately receive, scan, and capture goods delivered to the store
-Verify invoices and ensure goods match in quantity, condition, and variant
-Process returns and damaged goods and complete credit notes as required
-Maintain the receiving area and storerooms in a clean, organised condition
-Assist with logging warehouse claims and preparing return documentation
-Ensure same-day receipting of goods to maintain stock flow
-Monitor and assist in controlling high-risk stock
-Uphold all physical and security controls in the receiving area
Minimum Requirements
-Grade 12 / Matric
-Computer literacy and sound numerical skills
-Willing and able to work retail hours
-Physically fit and able to lift heavy items (20kg+)
-Clear criminal and credit record
-South African citizen
-Reliable transport or residence near the store
Advantageous
- Previous experience in receiving, retail, or FMCG environment
- Bilingual communication skills
- Familiarity with stock rotation systems
