Overview:
GALXBOY, a trailblazing South African streetwear brand rooted in youth culture and bold self-expression, is looking for an enthusiastic and stylish Sales Assistant to join our East Rand team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about fashion, youth culture, and providing exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers as they enter the store.
- Provide detailed product information and personalized recommendations.
- Upsell and cross-sell to maximize Average Transaction Value (ATV) and Units Per Transaction (UPT).
- Represent the GALXBOY brand through professional conduct, grooming, and adherence to the uniform policy.
2. Visual Merchandising
- Maintain knowledge of product placement, fabric, pricing, and care details.
- Handle steaming, tagging, pricing, folding, hanging, and restocking items.
- Follow brand visual merchandising (VM) guidelines to ensure an engaging customer experience.
3. Stock Control
- Keep the stockroom organized, clean, and categorized.
- Inform managers of stock levels, bestsellers, and low or out-of-stock items.
4. Daily Operations
- Comply with attendance and punctuality policies.
- Accurately process transactions using the POS system.
- Ensure proper handling of cash, card, and other payment methods.
Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric); higher education is advantageous
- Experience: 1โ2 years in a retail or customer-facing role (preferred)
- Skills:
- Computer literacy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management and attention to detail
- Passion for fashion and streetwear culture
