Overview

Pick n Pay is recruiting over 20 detail-oriented and enthusiastic Shelfpackers – Wine to join our in-store merchandising teams nationwide. This role focuses on ensuring that our wine and liquor aisles are well-stocked, accurately priced, and attractively presented to meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

-Replenish shelves with wine and alcoholic beverages following FIFO (first in, first out) procedures

-Ensure product displays are neat, clean, and visually appealing

-Monitor stock levels and report low inventory or out-of-stock items

-Check quality, rotate stock, and remove expired/damaged items

-Maintain cold chain storage where applicable

-Verify accurate pricing and promotional signage

-Assist customers in locating specific wines and provide basic product knowledge when needed

-Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards in the wine section

-Comply with all liquor licensing regulations and age restriction policies

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10 (Grade 12 advantageous)
• Basic numeracy and literacy
• Ability to follow stocking and safety procedures
• Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift and handle stock
• Interest in wine and beverage products (advantageous)
