Overview:
Clicks is looking for customer-focused individuals to join their team as Shop Assistants / Cashiers. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, managing point-of-sale transactions efficiently, and ensuring high merchandising standards.
Responsibilities:
-Perform all point-of-sale (POS) activities efficiently and accurately.
-Process transactions, including cash and card payments, while promoting ClubCard rewards.
-Handle cash responsibly and securely in line with company policies.
-Promote Clicks ClubCard to achieve enrolment and participation targets.
-Highlight promotions and assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
-Maintain merchandising standards and store cleanliness.
-Provide exceptional customer service by acting as a friendly and visible brand ambassador.
-Stay informed about current product offerings, promotions, and store events.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
-Essential: Grade 12
-Desirable: 50% in Maths and English at Grade 12 level
-Desirable: Experience in a retail/FMCG environment in a customer-facing role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of retail operations, including stock and cash handling
- Knowledge of merchandising and promotional principles
- Strong communication, customer service, and organisational skills
- Computer literacy and numeracy skills
