Overview:
SUN JV, a subcontractor for the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) Project, is inviting applications from experienced candidates for the position of Core Drill Operator. This critical role involves operating core drilling machines for geotechnical and construction purposes. Successful candidates will contribute to major infrastructure development through precise and safe drilling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
-Operate core drilling equipment to extract core samples from soil and rock for analysis.
-Follow drilling specifications and instructions from geotechnical engineers and supervisors.
-Maintain, clean, and perform routine checks on drilling machinery and tools.
-Ensure adherence to drilling safety standards and procedures.
-Complete daily logs and reports on drilling progress and equipment usage.
-Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth execution of drilling tasks in the field.
Requirements and Skills:
-Minimum of 2โ3 yearsโ experience in core drilling operations within construction, mining, or geotechnical projects.
-Technical training or certification in drilling operations is an advantage.
-Sound knowledge of core drilling techniques, safety regulations, and equipment handling.
-Physically fit and able to work in harsh or remote site conditions.
-Good recordkeeping and communication skills.
-Willingness to work shifts and extended hours as project demands.
