Overview:
SUN JV, a key subcontractor for the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) Project, is inviting skilled and experienced Welders to join the site operations team. This position involves performing welding tasks on structural and mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings, welding codes, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform welding on a variety of materials including steel and metal components as required for site structures and equipment.
-Interpret and follow technical drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
-Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance.
-Set up welding equipment and ensure tools are properly maintained.
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all safety standards.
Requirements and Skills:
-Trade Certificate in Welding or equivalent recognized qualification.
-At least 3 yearsโ experience in structural, pipe, or mechanical welding (including SMAW, MIG, or TIG processes).
-Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and welding symbols.
-Knowledge of welding codes and safety regulations.
-Good physical fitness and the ability to work in confined or elevated areas.
