The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), through the Department of Campus Protection Services (CPS), is recruiting 57 Seasonal Workers across all campuses. These positions support registration, access control, and essential operational functions during peak university activity periods.
Overview
Seasonal Workers provide support to students and staff by assisting with access card production, queue management, information verification, and general operational tasks. This role is ideal for candidates who are customer-focused, computer-literate, and able to work in a fast-paced academic environment.
Key Performance Areas / Core Functions
-Produce student and staff access/identification cards.
-Load cards and consumables onto printers.
-Assist students with registration information and manage queues for access cards.
-Manage and control student queuing systems.
-Issue safety tips pamphlets to students.
-Take care of hardware and consumables used for card production.
-Categorise information for staff and students on the Babylon system.
-Check and verify the authenticity of university documents presented by students.
Minimum Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year computer-related experience
Skills Required
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Communication and client service skills
- Computer literacy (essential)
