Overview:
The Cash Office Clerk will be responsible for preparing daily cash reconciliations, counting floats, monitoring discrepancies, and supporting the finance team in managing all cash-related procedures within the store.
Responsibilities:
-Count, verify, and reconcile daily cash takings from all tills
-Prepare float allocations and ensure cash is ready for daily store operations
-Investigate and report any cash variances or irregularities
-Maintain accurate records of cash transactions, deposits, and reports
-Assist in balancing petty cash and processing reimbursements
-Support audit and compliance processes by ensuring proper documentation
-Securely store and manage all cash and related financial documents
-Liaise with the Chief Cashier and finance department on daily cash activities
-Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to cash handling protocols
Requirements:
-LGCSE or equivalent qualification
-Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a retail finance or cash handling role
-Excellent numerical and reconciliation skills
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Trustworthy and capable of handling sensitive financial information
