Overview
Lucara Botswana is seeking a skilled Condition Monitoring Technician to support underground maintenance through equipment monitoring, diagnostics and reliability improvement initiatives.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, the Condition Monitoring Technician will collect and analyse equipment condition data to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Key Responsibilities
-Conduct vibration monitoring and thermographic inspections
-Perform equipment reliability analysis
-Conduct root cause failure analysis
-Maintain inspection documentation and reporting
-Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental standards
Minimum Requirements
-Diploma or NC in Mechanical, Electrical or Boiler Making
-Minimum 5–8 years’ post-qualification experience in underground mining
-At least 3 years’ experience in condition monitoring or reliability roles
-Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting
-Strong understanding of vibration and reliability analysis concepts
-Advanced computer skills
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
