Overview
Lucara Botswana is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the position of Maintenance Coordinator – Shaft Services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling maintenance activities within the Shaft Services section to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the Maintenance Coordinator will:
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities
- Manage shift scheduling and manpower deployment
- Ensure safety, health and environmental compliance
- Optimise equipment availability and reduce downtime
Key Responsibilities
-Maintenance systems and procedures implementation
-Contractor management
-People and performance management
-Budget and resource management
-Safety, Health and Environmental compliance
Minimum Requirements
-Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
-Minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification experience
-Minimum of 4 years’ experience in underground mining operations
-Proven experience in underground production supervision
-Knowledge of mining standards and operating procedures
-Valid Class B Driver’s Licence
