Overview
Lucara Botswana is recruiting a Shift Boss to supervise underground shaft-related operations and ensure safe, efficient and compliant mining activities.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Mine Captain, the Shift Boss will oversee underground production operations and ensure adherence to mining standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
-Supervise daily underground shaft operations
-Manage workforce performance and task allocation
-Inspect work areas for hazards and implement corrective measures
-Compile and maintain shift reports (production, incidents and personnel matters)
-Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental standards
Minimum Requirements
-BGCSE or equivalent qualification
-Shift Boss Certificate of Competency
-Valid Underground Blasting Certificate
-Minimum 5 yearsβ experience in underground mining
-Strong leadership and operational coordination skills
-Valid Class B Driverβs Licence
