Overview

Letsema Horticulture Market is seeking a proactive and organised Procurement Officer to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is essential in ensuring that all products, services, and supplies procured for the market meet both quality and cost-efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

-Source and evaluate suppliers of goods and services

-Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure cost-effective purchasing

-Assess the quality and suitability of products and services

-Ensure all purchases align with market standards and operational needs

-Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and contracts

-Support the Procurement Manager in streamlining procurement processes

-Liaise with departments to understand purchasing requirements and timelines

Minimum Requirements

-Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field

-At least 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management

-Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills

-Knowledge of procurement procedures and contract management

-High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail

-Computer literacy, especially in MS Excel and procurement software
