Overview

Letsema Horticulture Market is recruiting a detail-oriented and committed Quality Control Inspector to ensure that all fresh produce entering and leaving the market complies with strict food safety and quality standards. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a background in quality or food safety management.

Key Responsibilities

-Inspect fresh produce for freshness, size, appearance, and overall quality

-Identify and report any defects or contamination

-Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines and market quality standards

-Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to maintain consistency

-Keep accurate inspection records and report any non-conformities

-Provide feedback to the Quality Management and Food Safety Manager

Minimum Requirements

-Diploma or certificate in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Agriculture, or related field

-Minimum 1–2 years of experience in quality control, food safety, or agricultural inspection

-Strong knowledge of produce handling standards and inspection procedures

-Ability to work independently and under pressure

-Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills

-Computer literacy is an added advantage
