Overview

A client in the Telecommunications sector is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Assurance Officer with an accounting background and strong interest in system analytics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding revenue streams by identifying revenue leakage, improving billing accuracy, analysing system data and supporting strategic financial decision-making within an ISP or small mobile network environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular audits of billing systems, usage data and revenue streams
  • Identify discrepancies and prevent revenue leakage
  • Monitor CDR (Call Detail Record) flows and other data sources to ensure accurate billing
  • Analyse data, resolve issues and provide insights into revenue processes
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance to strengthen revenue assurance controls
  • Prepare detailed revenue assurance reports and trend analyses
  • Recommend improvements to workflows, systems and internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support Finance with billing investigations and dispute resolution
  • Utilize analytical tools to extract, transform and load data for revenue analysis
  • Assist in developing strategies to improve revenue accuracy and timeliness

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or equivalent
  • Basic data query skills or training

Added Advantage:

  • Professional Enterprise Risk Management Certification
  • Familiarity with SQL (Structured Query Language)

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance role (Telecommunications or ISP industry preferred)
  • Experience providing back-end support on accounting systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI or other data visualisation tools
  • Knowledge of revenue assurance principles and practices
  • Familiarity with billing systems in ISP or mobile network environments
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
