Overview:

Clicks Group is looking for energetic and customer-focused Shop Assistant / Cashiers to join their team in Newcastle and surrounding areas. The successful candidates will play a vital role in creating positive shopping experiences through efficient service at the point of sale and professional in-store support.


Key Responsibilities:

-Execute all point-of-sale (POS) operations efficiently, ensuring accurate scanning and payment collection.

-Maintain safe and responsible cash handling at all times.

-Promote the Clicks ClubCard programme and assist customers in signing up to increase participation.

-Inform customers about ongoing promotions to enhance product sales and customer savings.

-Deliver excellent service by being friendly, professional, and visible on the store floor.

-Maintain store standards through merchandising and housekeeping in line with company guidelines.

-Stay informed on product ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate assistance to customers.

-Contribute to the store’s mission of being the customer’s first-choice health and beauty retailer.


Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Essential: Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Desirable: 50% or higher in Mathematics and English at Grade 12 level
  • Experience:
    • Desirable: Experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG environment
