Overview:

Botswana Ash (Pty) Ltd, a leading producer of Soda Ash and Salt located in Sua Pan, invites applications for the position of First Aid Trainer on a contract basis. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality advanced First Aid training and coaching to Botash First Aiders to ensure competency in emergency response situations.

The successful candidate will be based in Sowa Town, a well-established residential community with excellent facilities and access to quality education, recreation, and healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

-Deliver advanced First Aid training in alignment with health and safety standards

-Provide intensive First Aid coaching and mentorship to internal first responders

-Simulate emergency scenarios to test and improve response capabilities

-Ensure trainees receive accurate, clear information on emergency procedures and aid techniques

-Present training content in a clear, engaging, and easy-to-understand format

-Demonstrate proper use of First Aid equipment and techniques during practical sessions

Job Requirements:

-Certificate in Health Care, Advanced Health Support, or a related field

-Accredited Trainer or Assessor Certification

-Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in First Aid training

-Experience in mining-related First Aid and knowledge of Botswana Chamber of Mines (BCM) competition procedures will be a distinct advantage

Competencies:

-Excellent planning and organizational skills

-Strong verbal and written communication skills

-Ability to engage participants in both theoretical and practical learning
