Responsibilities

-Safely transport various types of cargo, including containers, breakbulk, tautliners, and dry bulk materials, over long distances.

-Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of cargo in compliance with safety standards.

-Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and HAZCHEM regulations when applicable.

-Plan routes effectively and manage time to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any issues for immediate resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of driving hours, deliveries, and incidents, and provide regular updates to dispatch.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients and fellow team members.

Requirements

  • Valid Code 14 driver’s license with at least 5 years of long-distance driving experience.
  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
  • Proven experience with loading and transporting containers, tautliners, breakbulk, or dry bulk tankers.
  • HAZCHEM certification or experience in handling hazardous materials is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, loading procedures, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Clean driving record with no major infractions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in handling route changes or vehicle issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to keep dispatch updated on trip progress.
