Overview:
Mukuru is looking for dynamic and customer-focused individuals to join its team as Booth Tellers in Gaborone. In this role, you will be the trusted face of the brandโ€”ensuring accurate, secure, and friendly service to customers who rely on Mukuru for safe money remittance solutions. Key Responsibilities:

1. Transaction Processing

-Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) checks on all transactions for compliance.

-Accurately verify currency authenticity and count cash precisely.

-Cancel outbound orders that fail to meet regulatory requirements.

-Monitor and comply with transaction limits as per central bank regulations.

2. Customer Service

-Assist customers in completing forms and understanding Mukuru services.

-Promote Mukuru products to new and existing customers.

-Offer guidance and ensure a high standard of service at all times.

3. Compliance & Security

-Report suspicious activity to the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Officer.

-Assist with Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) documentation when required.

-Secure cash, PINs, and booth devices daily.

-Maintain visitor logs and verify identification for all guests.

4. Operational Duties

-Perform accurate daily cash reconciliations (cash-ups).

-Maintain a clean, organized, and secure booth workspace.

-Ensure all security checks are completed before booth operations begin.


Requirements:

Education: BGCSE / Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education โ€“ Essential

Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a financial services or cash-handling environment โ€“ Essential


Skills and Competencies:

-Strong understanding of foreign currencies, FICA regulations, and digital transaction systems

-Excellent numeracy and cash-handling accuracy

-High level of professionalism and customer service

-Good interpersonal and communication skills

-Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail

-Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn and adapt
