Overview

The Centre for Public Service Innovation (CPSI) is seeking a professional, customer-oriented Receptionist to provide front-desk support and administrative assistance at its Pretoria office. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong communication skills and a commitment to quality public service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

-Welcome visitors and direct them to the appropriate personnel or department.

-Answer, screen, and transfer incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner.

-Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.

-Handle general administrative and clerical duties.

-Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.

-Schedule appointments and manage meeting room bookings as required.

-Provide information and assistance to staff and the public.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate (Matric) or equivalent qualification.

Added Advantage (Not Mandatory)

  • Certificate or Diploma in:
    • Office Administration
    • Secretarial Studies
    • Business Administration
    • Public Administration
    • Customer Service or a relevant field

Competencies and Skills

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Telephone etiquette and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Professional personal presentation and customer service orientation
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure
