Overview
The Community Services Department of the City of Ekurhuleni is seeking a qualified and experienced Driver Operator to support operations in Turf Grass, Stadia, and Hard Courts maintenance. This role is vital in ensuring the safe transportation of staff and equipment, along with maintaining municipal assets in top condition.
Key Responsibilities
-Transport staff and equipment to various operational sites.
-Perform daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
-Complete and maintain accurate vehicle log sheets.
-Supervise junior staff and support people management duties.
-Conduct basic repairs and maintenance of equipment.
-Perform routine administrative tasks as required.
-Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
-Deliver excellent customer service and uphold City standards.
Minimum Requirements
-Grade 10 (Standard 8)
-Valid Code C1 driverโs license with PrDP
-Computer literacy
-At least 2 years of relevant driving and operational experience
-Strong interpersonal and people management skills
