TotalEnergies is offering a Millwright Apprenticeship opportunity at its Lubricants Manufacturing Plant (LMP) in Durban. This structured programme provides practical workplace exposure in an engineering environment while completing required theoretical training.

This apprenticeship is ideal for technically inclined candidates who are committed to safety, operational excellence, and professional development within a manufacturing plant environment.


Programme Overview

The successful apprentice will work alongside the plant maintenance team to support daily operational activities while gaining hands-on technical experience. The role includes participation in structured learning, practical workplace training, and completion of required assessments in line with company policies and HSSEQ standards.


Key Responsibilities

-Wear appropriate PPE and comply with all HSSEQ standards

-Support plant maintenance team with daily operational duties

-Attend all required theoretical and practical training sessions

-Complete logbooks, timesheets, projects, and assessments accurately

-Follow Management of Work (MoW) procedures

-Read and apply work method statements, permits, and risk assessments

-Report safety hazards and incidents immediately

-Maintain equipment and work areas to required standards

-Be available for overtime, standby shifts, and weekend work when required


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Physical Science
  • N3/N4/N5/N6 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a South African College
  • Must be physically fit
  • Willing to work at heights (tanks, platforms, structures)
  • Willing to work in confined spaces (tanks and vessels)
