Successful candidates will be responsible for operating point of sale systems, handling payments accurately, and maintaining a clean and organised checkout area.

Key Responsibilities

– Operate electronic point of sale (POS) systems efficiently.
– Accurately process customer purchases and payments.
– Handle cash, debit card, and credit card transactions correctly.
– Ensure customers receive the correct change and receipts.
– Maintain balanced cash-ups and payment records.
– Keep the till area clean, organised, and hygienic.
– Provide friendly and professional customer service.
– Stay informed about products, promotions, and special offers.
– Work efficiently during busy trading periods.
– Maintain strong communication with supervisors and team members.

Requirements & Skills

-Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
-Previous cashier experience will be advantageous.
-Ability to work shifts, including Sundays and Public Holidays.
-Good numerical and cash handling skills.
-Strong communication and customer service skills.
-Ability to work under pressure in a busy retail environment.
-Attention to detail and accuracy.
-Clear criminal record.
-Must reside within 25km of the relevant store location.
