Introduction

Sasol is hiring Fuel Distribution Officers (x6 positions) to ensure the safe, accurate, and on-time delivery of fuel products across its retail and commercial network.

These roles are based at Sasolโ€™s operational hubs in Alrode, Secunda, and Pretoria and form a critical part of the logistics and customer service value chain, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and delivery standards.


Purpose of the Job

To manage and execute fuel deliveries accurately, safely, and timeously, while ensuring compliance with Sasolโ€™s operational and SHERQ standards. The successful candidates will help uphold Sasolโ€™s commitment to efficiency, reliability, and world-class service.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Delivery

-Execute all fuel deliveries accurately and within set timelines.

-Ensure all loads are completed in full and on time using the company fleet.

-Complete loading instructions (Fuel Facs and Renaissance) precisely.

-Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any defects.

-Maintain clear communication with the Logistics Command Centre regarding route progress or deviations.

-Accurately complete shipment documentation and report reasons for any gains or losses.

-Execute deliveries according to approved schedules and customer sequences.

-Reduce unproductive time and optimise delivery efficiency.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

-Adhere to all OHS Act and Sasol SHERQ procedures during operations.

-Report and log all incidents or near misses and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations.

-Prevent spillages, contamination, or product losses at all times.

-Ensure vehicles are operated in compliance with transport and safety regulations.

-Follow all Sasol transport policies and standard operating procedures.


Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
  • Code EC (Code 14) Driverโ€™s Licence
  • Valid Professional Driverโ€™s Permit (PrDP)
  • Dangerous Goods and Hazchem Certificate โ€“ essential

Experience:

  • 2โ€“5 years driving experience in the petroleum or fuel distribution industry
