Overview

Fedics and Tsebo Catering are recruiting experienced Cooks and Chefs to join their catering teams across multiple locations.

These opportunities are ideal for passionate food service professionals who enjoy preparing quality meals, maintaining hygiene standards, and working within fast-paced catering and hospitality environments.

Successful candidates will assist with food preparation, meal planning, kitchen operations, and ensuring excellent food quality and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

– Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and dietary requirements.

– Ensure food is presented attractively and served on time.

– Maintain high hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.

– Assist with stock rotation, food storage, and kitchen organisation.

– Support meal planning and adapt recipes for special dietary needs.

– Work closely with catering teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

– Maintain food quality and portion standards at all times.

– Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.

– Build positive and professional relationships with customers and residents where applicable.

Requirements & Skills

-Matric / Grade 12 certificate.

-1–2 years’ experience in a similar cooking or chef role.

-Proven cooking experience within catering, hospitality, or healthcare environments.

-Culinary qualification will be advantageous.

-Good understanding of food hygiene and food safety regulations.

-Strong organisational and time-management skills.

-Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

-Good communication and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
