Overview
Fedics is recruiting Ward Hostesses for healthcare catering operations in Pretoria and Gqeberha.
This opportunity is ideal for caring, customer-focused individuals who enjoy working in healthcare and hospitality environments. Successful candidates will assist with patient meal services, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure excellent customer care within hospital wards.
Key Responsibilities
– Ensure patients receive the correct meals according to hospital and dietary instructions.
– Complete and manage patient menu cards accurately.
– Maintain clean water carafes and glasses and provide fresh ice water throughout the day.
– Provide prompt tea and beverage service to patients.
– Maintain company and hospital hygiene and service standards.
– Assist with preparing meals, salads, and desserts when required.
– Deliver courteous and professional service to patients at all times.
– Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and safety procedures.
– Support catering operations and maintain clean working areas.
– Work closely with catering teams to ensure quality service delivery.
Requirements & Skills
-Minimum Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.
-Honest, reliable, and professional attitude.
-Good personal hygiene and presentation standards.
-Ability to work well within a team environment.
-Must be physically fit and able to stand, bend, and lift during shifts.
-Must enjoy practical and methodical work.
-Free from skin allergies related to food handling or detergents.
-Ability to work approximately 45โ50 hours per week.
