Position Overview

dsm-firmenich is looking for a reliable and efficient Office Driver to assist with the transportation of samples, important documents, and visitors. The role involves collecting and delivering customer samples, raw materials, cheques, and providing transport for both domestic and international visitors. The successful candidate will also support management with any additional driving tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

-Safely load goods to prevent damage during transportation.

-Ensure the quantity and description of collected goods match the accompanying documentation.

-Adjust travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.

-Promptly report any traffic tickets issued during working hours to the company.

-Report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage to management immediately.

-Ensure all goods leaving the premises are accompanied by proper documentation, such as invoices, unless otherwise authorized.

-Verify that invoice and delivery note details match the goods being transported.

-Perform spot checks on quantities loaded, comparing them to labels and invoices, and record this in the dispatch book.

-Assist with occasional office errands, including ad hoc shopping.

Job Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate).
  • Valid Code 10 driverโ€™s license with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • No criminal record and a clean driving record, with no major traffic violations or accidents.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations.
  • Ability to navigate using GPS, maps, and car manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal clients.
  • Team player, capable of collaborating with various functions and individuals.
