Overview

Lancet Laboratories is seeking dedicated and professional individuals to join its team as Admin Clerks / Receptionists. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for unemployed candidates looking to start a career in healthcare administration. The role is central to ensuring the efficient registration, processing, and tracking of laboratory specimens and providing exceptional client-facing service.


Key Responsibilities

-Receive, log, and route laboratory samples in accordance with standard operating procedures.

-Dispatch specimens to the correct laboratories and monitor processing turnaround times.

-Manage queries, patient reports, and customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.

-Perform hospital rounds for sample collection and report distribution.

-Track courier deliveries and ensure proper documentation of incoming samples.

-Maintain accurate records, scan documents into the system (Oculus), and resolve scanning issues.

-Handle front-desk reception duties, including directing clients and managing telephone calls.

-Receive payments from patients and process them according to standard protocols.

-Monitor and order stock supplies, ensuring timely delivery to medical practices.

-Uphold the principles of customer care and maintain professionalism with patients and healthcare staff.


Entry Requirements

-Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 qualification (compulsory)

-A BSc Degree will be advantageous but not required

-0โ€“1 year of relevant experience (graduates welcome)
