Key Performance Areas
Duties include:
-Receiving verbal instructions from the immediate supervisor regarding work programmes and priorities.
-Communicating specific cleaning-material requirements.
-Cleaning designated areas.
-Mopping floors.
-Wiping ceramic surfaces.
-Cleaning office furniture and equipment at the pound and cemeteries.
-Supporting the digging of gravesites according to predetermined specifications.
-Using measuring devices such as rulers and tape measures.
-Marking gravesites using pegs and strings.
-Helping ensure gravesites remain safe during pre-burial activities.
-Ensuring sand heaps are piled safely.
-Refilling gravesites once funeral formalities have been completed.
-Removing old flowers and other waste for appropriate disposal.
-Cleaning and maintaining cemetery areas.
-Removing overgrown grass.
-Removing litter.
