Key Performance Areas

Successful candidates will be responsible for duties that include:

Following the required cleaning sequence and correctly mixing and using chemical detergents to remove stains and dirt from painted, polished and carpeted surfaces.

-Vacuuming and sweeping floor areas.

-Washing tablecloths.

-Dusting and tidying work areas, tools, shelves, cupboards and walls.

-Dusting ceilings and light fittings.

-Cleaning ablution facilities.

-Mopping floors and wiping ceramic surfaces.

-Replacing toilet rolls and towels.

-Checking for defective items and reporting them to the immediate supervisor.

-Following verbal instructions from the supervisor regarding work programmes and priorities.

-Communicating cleaning-material requirements.

-Cleaning surrounding areas.

-Picking up litter.

-Sweeping paved areas and walkways.

-Washing windows.

-Polishing brass items.

-Moving furniture, equipment and files to identified locations when instructed by the supervisor.
