Overview
MSC Cape Town invites applications for its 2026 Learnership Programme, designed to provide young individuals with both theoretical and practical experience in the Maritime and Shipping Industry.
This structured 3-phase learnership offers nationally recognised qualifications and valuable workplace exposure within the international trade and logistics environment.
Each phase runs for 12 months.
MSC will fully subsidise study costs and provide a monthly stipend, with the possibility of an annual bonus based on performance, attendance, assessments and conduct.
Programme Structure
The 3-Phase Learnership includes:
- National Certificate in International Trade
- National Certificate in Freight Forwarding & Customs Compliance
- Further Education & Training Certificate in Shipping
Learners will receive accredited qualifications along with experiential workplace training at the end of each phase.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate (minimum C aggregate including Mathematics)
- Computer literate
- Good communication skills
- Hardworking, reliable and methodical
- Youth from designated groups (under 25 years of age) will be considered
- Must complete the learnership in the Cape Town region for the full duration
