Cashier Position at Tiger Brands

Overview:
Tiger Brands, Africa’s largest listed manufacturer of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), is seeking cashiers to join our team. This role involves counting, reconciling, and managing large volumes of cash in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate should possess basic counting skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

-Accurately count large volumes of cash.

-Complete and issue receipts for deposits.

-Liaise with Fidelity Guards and Coin Security for cash collection.

-Reconcile cash received to daily receipts and balance deposits.

-Perform daily banking duties and ensure all transactions are balanced.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 1 year of cashier experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong cash reconciliation skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Clear credit record.
