Toys R Us and Babies R Us South Africa is looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Shop Assistant for our Tyger Valley branch. Job Purpose:
To maximize sales by providing outstanding customer service and creating a fun, exciting shopping environment that turns ordinary shopping trips into unforgettable experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service to ensure a WOW shopping experience.
- Attend to each customer’s individual needs with friendliness and attention.
- Provide accurate product information including pricing, warranties, and comparisons.
- Drive sales and execute up-selling and cross-selling strategies.
- Merchandise products, ensure pricing is accurate, and execute promotions on time.
- Maintain visual standards, cleanliness, and overall store presentation.
- Participate in stock takes, manage stock levels, and minimize stock loss.
- Report on fast-moving and slow-moving products to management.
- Protect company assets and minimize expenses in your area of responsibility.
- Follow all store policies, including customer service standards and operational procedures.
Entry Requirements:
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
- Minimum 6 months of retail experience
- Must have reliable transport and be able to work shifts
