Overview
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Utilities Operator to join its Manufacturing team in Midrand. The successful candidate will provide technical support through maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment to ensure smooth operations and meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
-Operate and maintain utility systems including boilers and hot water systems
-Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
-Troubleshoot and solve situational problems effectively
-Complete relevant data sheets and maintain accurate records
-Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment
-Perform forklift operations when required
-Conduct quality tests and ensure adherence to specifications
-Uphold safety and housekeeping standards consistently
-Drive personal development and actively manage performance
Requirements and Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
-Matric (Grade 12)
-Recognized Trade Test in Millwright, Electrical, or Mechanical
-N3 or higher qualification in a relevant technical field
Experience:
-2 to 3 years of relevant technical experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment
Technical and Functional Competencies:
-Strong analytical thinking with the ability to understand complex systems and processes
-Effective communication skills tailored to various audiences
-Functional knowledge and technical skills in equipment maintenance
-Good understanding of process management and workflow optimization
-Strong problem-solving abilities using rigorous logic and analysis
-Effective planning and time management skills
-Ability to make timely and sound decisions under pressure
