Overview:
M.M Scrap Metal & Recycling, a leader in Botswanaโs metal recycling industry, is hiring a results-oriented Operations Manager to oversee the daily activities of its Selebi Phikwe operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operations, personnel, safety compliance, and financial performance in a fast-paced and sustainability-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the scrap yard and logistics team.
-Manage inventory levels and track incoming and outgoing scrap materials.
-Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance procedures.
-Monitor and analyze budgets, costs, and performance metrics (KPIs).
-Oversee quality control processes and maintain high customer service standards.
-Prepare operational and financial reports for senior management.
-Identify areas for operational improvement and implement cost-saving strategies.
Requirements:
-Bachelorโs Degree in Business Management, Accounting, or a related field.
-Minimum of 3โ5 years of experience in operations management or supervisory roles.
-Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
-Knowledge of business operations and workflow optimization.
-Accounting experience is a strong advantage.
-Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
