Company Overview:
Nors Botswana, part of the international Nors Group, provides Sales, Parts, and Services for Volvo Trucks and other Volvo brands such as Volvo Buses and Volvo Penta in Botswana. We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Workshop Manager to lead our workshop operations in Gaborone.
Position Purpose:
To manage workshop activities by coordinating technical teams, ensuring timely and quality service delivery, and maintaining operational efficiency in line with the companyโs after-sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage all workshop operations in alignment with the After-Sales Managerโs directives.
-Supervise technical assistance services for heavy-duty vehicles.
-Coordinate material and parts requisitions with warehouse personnel.
-Ensure availability of necessary components for planned maintenance.
-Define work schedules, assign responsibilities, and allocate tasks effectively.
-Conduct damage assessments and prepare cost estimates for insurance claims.
-Liaise with insurance companies regarding repair estimates and approvals.
-Keep clients informed throughout the repair process to ensure transparency.
-Oversee execution of diagnostic and repair services while monitoring turnaround times.
-Ensure accurate record-keeping and billing of services rendered.
-Provide leadership and coaching to the workshop team and identify training needs.
-Implement operational strategies to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 yearsโ experience in a similar workshop management role.
-Technical qualification in mechanics, metalwork, or automotive systems.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office and workshop management software.
-Strong technical knowledge in repairs, diagnostics, and inventory control.
-Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
-Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service orientation.
-Fluency in English (spoken and written).
-Valid Driverโs License.
-Experience managing a Volvo Truck workshop will be an added advantage.
