Overview:

The Basotho Enterprises Development Corporation (BEDCO) is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant Consultant to join its panel of Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs). This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting enterprise growth and financial sustainability among Lesotho’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial planning and accounting advisory services to entrepreneurs and small businesses
  • Assist SMEs with bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Conduct financial audits and help businesses comply with tax and regulatory requirements
  • Design and implement internal financial control systems for clients
  • Provide training on accounting software and financial literacy where necessary
  • Support BEDCO’s mission to develop financially disciplined and sustainable businesses

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting consultancy or financial advisory services
  • Strong understanding of SME financial challenges and compliance needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver practical and tailored financial solutions to diverse clients
