Overview
The Glass Resorting Company (Pty) Ltd, through Apex Labour Solutions, is urgently seeking to employ 10 Cross Border Code 14 Drivers for operations between South Africa and Mozambique. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in cross-border driving, super-link vehicles.
Key Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
–Language Proficiency: Must be able to speak Portuguese.
–License: Valid Code 14 driverβs license with a PDP.
–Passport: Must have a valid passport.
–Experience: Minimum of 5 years of cross-border driving experience, specifically with super-link vehicles.
–Regulations & Customs Knowledge: Must be familiar with Mozambiqueβs and other African countries’ border regulations, customs, and traffic laws.
–Documentation Control: Strong understanding of border documentation processes.
–Criminal Record: Must have a clear criminal record (verification via MIE).
–Technology: Must own a smartphone.
–Availability: Must be immediately available for employment.
–Location: Must reside within the East Rand, Benoni area, or be willing to relocate immediately.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Load and unload cargo securely and efficiently.
- Drive vehicles to predetermined international destinations, primarily to Mozambique.
- Perform on-road maintenance tasks, such as refueling and changing tyres.
- Complete necessary documentation for both company and government officials at border points.
- Stay informed and compliant with the laws and regulations of each country visited.
- Report any irregularities or issues encountered during transit.
- Maintain and care for company assets, including vehicles and cargo.
