Overview:

Virgin Active South Africa is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Consultant to join their Durbanville team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fitness and sales, with a focus on growing the clubโ€™s membership base. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Planning & Execution
    • Plan daily and monthly sales activities to generate new leads and achieve individual and team sales targets.
    • Follow the Virgin Active sales process and use internal systems to log activities.
  2. Customer Engagement
    • Understand customer needs and match them with Virgin Active products.
    • Handle objections and close sales with support from Sales Managers.
  3. Business Development
    • Expand customer base through networking and relationship building.
    • Participate in community and corporate events to promote the brand.
  4. Market Awareness & Reporting
    • Keep up-to-date with competitor offerings and trends in the fitness industry.
    • Analyse sales data to improve performance and report regularly to management.
  5. Brand Representation
    • Act as a brand ambassador during promotions, wellness days, and in-club events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) โ€“ essential
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing โ€“ advantageous
  • Minimum 2 yearsโ€™ experience in a sales environment
  • Proven sales performance and ability to meet/exceed targets
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities across all demographics
  • Strong understanding of sales budgets, ratios, and customer service principles
  • Confident, proactive, and self-motivated
  • Computer literacy and CRM system knowledge
