Overview:
Virgin Active South Africa is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Consultant to join their Durbanville team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fitness and sales, with a focus on growing the clubโs membership base. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Planning & Execution
- Plan daily and monthly sales activities to generate new leads and achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Follow the Virgin Active sales process and use internal systems to log activities.
- Customer Engagement
- Understand customer needs and match them with Virgin Active products.
- Handle objections and close sales with support from Sales Managers.
- Business Development
- Expand customer base through networking and relationship building.
- Participate in community and corporate events to promote the brand.
- Market Awareness & Reporting
- Keep up-to-date with competitor offerings and trends in the fitness industry.
- Analyse sales data to improve performance and report regularly to management.
- Brand Representation
- Act as a brand ambassador during promotions, wellness days, and in-club events.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) โ essential
- Tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing โ advantageous
- Minimum 2 yearsโ experience in a sales environment
- Proven sales performance and ability to meet/exceed targets
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills
- Strong relationship-building capabilities across all demographics
- Strong understanding of sales budgets, ratios, and customer service principles
- Confident, proactive, and self-motivated
- Computer literacy and CRM system knowledge
