Overview

Air Products South Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Cylinder Truck Driver to join the Packaged Gas Department at our Witbank facility on a temporary basis. Reporting to the Facility Foreman, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and reliable delivery and collection of packaged gas to internal and external customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

-Conduct pre- and post-journey checks of the vehicle.

-Load and offload gas cylinders safely and efficiently.

-Ensure timely and accurate delivery and collection of cylinders at assigned destinations.

-Maintain proper housekeeping standards and perform general ad hoc tasks as required.

-Adhere to SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) standards consistently.

Essential Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Valid EC driverโ€™s license with PrDP.
    • Valid forklift license.
    • Valid Dangerous Goods Certificate.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of heavy-duty driving experience.
    • Proven experience in the transportation and handling of dangerous goods.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to produce written reports on vehicle fitness and delivery documentation.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must be medically fit to perform physical work.
    • Reliable personal transportation.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when required.
