Overview

ANEW Hotel OR Tambo is seeking a dedicated and professional Porter/Driver to join our team in Benoni, Gauteng. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a welcoming and seamless experience for our guests by assisting with luggage, providing excellent customer service, guiding guests to their rooms, and addressing inquiries about the hotelโ€™s facilities.

Responsibilities

-Warmly greet customers as they arrive, maintaining a polite, friendly, and professional demeanor.

-Assist guests with their luggage and escort them to their rooms.

-Provide information about the hotelโ€™s services, amenities, and accommodation rates.

-Build positive relationships with guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and addressing any complaints courteously to uphold the hotel’s reputation.

-Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with other departments, particularly housekeeping and the restaurant.

-Manage inquiries and messages efficiently and courteously.

Requirements

  • Education: Matric (Higher Certificate). A tertiary qualification is advantageous.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a Porter/Driver role.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities.
  • License: Valid driverโ€™s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Attributes: Observant, proactive, and customer-focused.
