Overview:
The Botswana Prison Service invites applications from young, energetic, and disciplined individuals for the position of Warder/Wardress (BGCSE). This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about serving their country and ensuring the security and rehabilitation of inmates.
Key Responsibilities:
-Maintain security and discipline within the prison facility.
-Monitor and manage inmate activities to ensure compliance with prison rules.
-Assist in rehabilitation programs for inmates.
-Provide support during emergencies within the facility.
-Carry out duties as assigned in accordance with Botswana Prison Service standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications and Selection Criteria:
- Education: Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) or equivalent, with a minimum of 34 points including credits in English and Mathematics.
- Selection Criteria:
- Aged between 18โ30 years.
- Physically and mentally fit.
- Have no adverse criminal record.
- Be of good character.
- Minimum height requirements:
- 1.6 meters for males.
- 1.55 meters for females.

- Two (2) years.
