Overview
Carrus Group is seeking an experienced Code 10 Driver to join its operations in Polokwane.
The ideal candidate must have at least five yearsโ experience driving an 8-ton truck and must have completed Grade 12. This role requires a responsible driver who prioritises safety, accuracy, and professionalism while ensuring timely deliveries and proper vehicle care.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate an 8-ton truck to transport goods, materials, or equipment
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report faults or defects
- Load and offload cargo, ensuring proper securing of goods
- Maintain accurate delivery records, trip sheets and logbooks
- Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and company transport policies
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and fuel efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors and clients
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (oil, water, tyres, etc.)
- Carry out additional transport-related duties as required
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 10 Driverโs Licence
- Valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- Matric (Grade 12) โ compulsory
- Minimum 5 yearsโ experience driving an 8-ton truck
- No criminal record
