Overview
Midvaal Local Municipality is recruiting 3 General Workers for its Electrical Section.
This opportunity is suitable for hardworking individuals with physical labour experience who are interested in municipal electrical support work and infrastructure maintenance.
Successful candidates will assist with loading/off-loading materials, site preparation, traffic control support, and general labour duties within the Electrical Section.
Minimum Requirements
-Grade 10 qualification
-Grade 12 will be advantageous
-Valid Driverโs Licence will be advantageous
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Must be bilingual
-Good physical health and ability to perform labour-intensive work
-Minimum 1 year relevant experience related to Electrical Section work within Local Government

- Preference will also be given to former EPWP workers from the municipalityโs Electrical Section

Key Responsibilities
General Electrical Section Support
-Load and off-load materials and equipment safely
-Place traffic warning signs near excavation and work areas
-Assist with labour-related electrical section work
-Maintain clean and safe working environments
Operational Duties
- Follow instructions from supervisors and superintendents
- Use manual labour tools and equipment
- Support productivity and smooth operation of the section
- Perform additional ad hoc duties when required
