Overview
Macsteel Tube & Pipe is recruiting 5 General Workers to join its production team in Gauteng. This opportunity is ideal for hardworking, physically fit individuals who are eager to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Successful candidates will support production operations, stock handling, vehicle loading, housekeeping, and other general warehouse duties while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Pick, pack, and move stock to the correct storage locations.
– Assist with loading and off-loading vehicles safely and efficiently.
– Support crane operators with slinging and preparing materials for delivery.
– Help with stock takes and inventory control.
– Ensure products are correctly labelled for identification.
– Maintain clean and organised work areas through regular housekeeping.
– Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
– Assist on production machines and perform other operational duties as required.
– Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and work instructions.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or Higher Certificate.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Physically fit and able to load and off-load stock.
- Comfortable climbing onto trailers to hook and unhook materials.
- Willing to work overtime and perform multiple duties.
- Product knowledge of Macsteel products will be advantageous.
