Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
-Grade 10 (NQF Level 3) or equivalent qualification.
-At least 5 years’ driving, operating and drilling experience.
-Job-related technical knowledge.
-Knowledge of safety standards and statutory requirements.
-Ability to use and maintain drilling and earthmoving equipment.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Sound judgement and problem-solving ability.
-Good eyesight and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
- Operate drilling and construction equipment.
- Construct and repair agricultural infrastructure.
- Produce and maintain boreholes.
- Operate specialised drilling and earthmoving machinery.
- Transport officials, materials and equipment.
- Inspect, service and maintain machinery.
- Keep vehicle and equipment logbooks up to date.
- Perform administrative duties related to operations.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
