Overview

A permanent opportunity is available for a Despatch Loader at a busy bakery operation in Potchefstroom. This role is ideal for candidates with FMCG or warehouse loading experience who are able to work in a fast-paced dispatch environment.

The successful candidate will assist with the loading and offloading of bread, stock rotation, tray balancing, and ensuring accurate dispatch procedures are followed according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

– Load bread according to picking slips and dispatch schedules.

– Follow the correct pipeline loading sequence procedures.

– Conduct tray counting and balancing of trays on trucks.

– Attend daily operational and invocom meetings.

– Ensure only quality products are loaded for dispatch.

– Apply correct stock rotation procedures using FIFO principles.

– Report loading and dispatch-related issues to management.

– Assist with maintaining dispatch accuracy and operational efficiency.

– Comply with company policies, safety standards, and procedures.

– Provide relief support to Despatch Clerks when required.

Requirements & Skills

-Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification.

-Minimum 3 months experience in a similar FMCG, warehouse, or dispatch role.

-Good communication and teamwork skills.

-Basic numerical ability and attention to detail.

-Understanding of dispatch and loading procedures.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

-Strong sense of accountability and urgency.

-Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
