Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is currently recruiting Merchandisers and Health Merchandisers for multiple stores across South Africa. These opportunities are ideal for candidates who are customer-focused, energetic, and passionate about retail operations, merchandising, and maintaining high store standards.

Successful candidates will assist with stock replenishment, shelf merchandising, housekeeping, customer service, and maintaining excellent product presentation throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities

– Restock shelves and merchandise products according to store standards.
– Ensure stock is correctly packed, stored, and rotated using FIFO principles.
– Assist with stocktaking, stock counts, and inventory control.
– Monitor expired, damaged, or low stock and report issues to management.
– Ensure shelves are clean, organised, priced correctly, and visually appealing.
– Assist with loading and offloading stock when required.
– Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product queries.
– Maintain housekeeping standards in storerooms and shop floors.
– Assist with promotional displays and merchandising layouts.
– Follow company policies, health and safety procedures, and operational standards.

Requirements & Skills

-Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
-Up to 6 months retail experience required.
-Previous merchandising or retail experience is advantageous.
-Basic computer literacy (MS Office).
-Good communication and customer service skills.
-Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
-Physically fit and able to lift and move stock.
-Willing and able to work retail hours, weekends, and shifts.
-Trustworthy, honest, and presentable.
-Ability to work well under pressure in a retail environment.
