Purpose of the Role:
As a Sales Assistant, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the store by promoting sales, minimizing stock losses, assisting customers, operating the cash register, and maintaining a cost-effective environment. Key Responsibilities:

-Promote a safe and positive store environment, following security procedures to reduce losses.

-Operate the cash register efficiently, adhering to company policies.

-Maintain store tidiness and ensure an organized and cost-effective operation.

-Provide excellent customer service, assist with product inquiries, and suggest additional items to customers.

-Address customer issues and inform them of promotions and deals.

-Stay informed about products and assist customers in making informed purchases.

-Greet and engage customers upon entry and offer assistance.

-Meet sales targets and stay updated on new products and store changes.

-Assist with stock management, including ordering and organizing deliveries.

-Ensure smooth payment processing and handle cash responsibly.

-Stay updated on product changes and store features.

Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Relevant experience in cashiering, customer service, sales, or general retail roles.
  • Reside within 15 km of the job location.
  • A clear criminal record.
  • Honest and trustworthy, especially in handling cash.
